Our Mission

It takes a village...

water for AfricaEveryday, we wake up, use the toilet, brush our teeth, take a shower, and make a nice hot cup of coffee (well at least that's what we do at project humanity). None of this could be done without the clean water and sanitation that we take for granted. In fact, the average American uses well over 100 gallons of water a day. Meanwhile, there are people stuggling to find enough clean water just to live. It is estimated that 25,000 people die everyday from lack of clean water and sanitation. Project Humanity's goal is to give people access to this basic need.

We aim to accomplish this goal as efficiently as possible. We want every dollar that our donors contribute to go to building wells and sanitation projects in rural Africa.

project humanity is a nonprofit organization whose aim is to:
access, purify, and distribute new sources of safe water for rural villages in Africa using community input and investment
help villages establish local water committees to empower those who are affected most and create community “buy in”
educate villages on sanitation through the Community Led Total Sanitation Model
motivate villages to build sanitation and hygiene related facilities in order to protect their water supply and secure a healthy future
We cannot accomplish our goals without the help of fundraisers and donors. We thank you for your interest in our organization and hope that you will help us in our mission.
